Driving Factors of Carbon Emissions in China’s Logistics Industry

نویسندگان

چکیده

Developing low-carbon logistics requires an understanding of the driving factors for carbon emissions. We employed Comparative Study on Urban Transport and Environment (CUTE) framework to identify China’s Then, Generalized Fisher Index Decomposition (GFID) model was adopted decompose effects factors. Finally, we tracked spatial dynamics trajectory each effect based gravity model. Our results showed that technical intensity transport structure promoted emissions, while efficiency agglomeration curbed The centers converged with whereas industry diverged from obvious heterogeneity, which indicated reduction policies should be formulated according local situation.

Uncovering the Driving Factors of Carbon Emissions in an Investment Allocation Model of China's High-Carbon and Low-Carbon Energy

In the view of long-term comprehensive development, the concept of low-carbon economy has long been a concern. In this paper, we build a pure energy-economic system and explore the exact influencing factors in the investment allocation of high-carbon and low-carbon energy with the purpose of mitigating carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The dynamic analysis shows that the model that we built is ...

Decomposed Driving Factors of Carbon Emissions and Scenario Analyses of Low-Carbon Transformation in 2020 and 2030 for Zhejiang Province

Climate change has gained widespread attention, and the rapid growth of the economy in China has generated a considerable amount of carbon emissions. Zhejiang Province was selected as a study area. First, the energy-related carbon emissions from 2000 to 2014 were accounted for, and then the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) decomposition model was applied to analyse the driving factors unde...

Journey to world top emitter: An analysis of the driving forces of Chinas recent CO<subscr>2</subscr> emissions surge

[1] China’s economy has been growing at an accelerated rate from 2002 to 2005 and with it China’s carbon emissions. It is easier to understand the growth in China’s carbon emissions by considering which consumption activities households and government, capital investments, and international trade drive Chinese production and hence emissions. This paper adopts structural decomposition analysis, ...

Driving Pattern Variability and Impacts on Vehicle Carbon Monoxide Emissions

An analysis of instrumented vehicle data revealed significant differences in operating mode profiles for vehicle operations in Atlanta, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; and Spokane, Washington. Differences in such operating mode characteristics as acceleration rates and cruise speed distributions are important in the development of new emissions models because certain vehicle and engine operating ...

Economic and Environmental Factors Determining the Amount of Carbon Dioxide Emissions in the MENA Countries

Abstract: The gradual warming of the earth and its negative environmental and economic impacts contributed to pay attention to sustainable development considerably. Since climate change is a major cause of greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2, countries are seeking to prevent the rapid growth of emissions to reduce global climate change. Accordingly, and considering the importance of the sub...
